Britain's Premier Youth Circus Company provides a unique opportunity to the serious young performer.
Circus Maniacs Youth Circus Creates highly visual and exciting productions to original music & choreography.
Being a member of Circus Maniacs Youth Performing Company is a fantastic opportunity!
Young performers from our International Award Winning Company have travelled to Sweden, Belgium, Germany, China and USA.
Who we are looking for
- The young performers we are looking for must be:
- Talented
- Enthusiastic
- Determined
- Disciplined
- Adventurous
- With strong skills in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Circus
- Gymnastics / Acrobatics
- Trampolining
- Dance
- Music
- Theatre
- And will need to be:
- Creative
- Be able to work well in a group
- Be supportive to other members of the cast
- Punctual for all rehearsals & performances
- Able to stay focused when working on set goals
And most of all you need to have a strong burning desire to want to become an accomplished performer!
How and When to Apply:
We accept applications and arrange audition dates throught the year.
If you are interested in auditioning for the company, the first step is to complete our Audition Enrolment Form and post it off to us enclosing:
- Your photos (Headshot & Full-length photos if possible)
- Write us a short letter telling us about your aspirations and why you wish to join us.
- Attach your CV (if you have one) listing any previous training & performance experience.
- If you have a short video showing your skills or performances that you would like us to view, enclose this too.
You can either download & print out an application form, or
Email us to send you one by email, or
write to us (at the admin address) and we can put one in the post.
Please note we have 2 different forms, please fill out the correct one according to your age.
Please therefore let us know your age of you wish us to email or post you an application form.
Where possible we prefer to confirm by email, so if you can give us your email address for correspondance it will be appreciated; otherwise we will correspond by post.
We will let you know when we have recieved your application, and normally let you know when we can invite you to a 'Workshop Audition'.
The Workshop Audition:
Please arrive with clothing suitable for particpating in a physical workshop - see What to Wear for guidance.
The audition will be in 2 parts:
- Firstly, a workshop which will help us assess your current skills range, and ability to take on new challenges; &
- Secondly, you will be offered the opportunity to perform your specialist skills.
We would like, if possible, for you to present a short 'act' or 'demonstration' that will last between 1 minute & 5 minutes long.
