Circus Maniacs offers private tuition in a wide range of circus & theatre techniques.
We also can provide you with directors & choreographers to support individual performance projects.

Acrobatic tumbling, acrobalance, pyramids, handbalancing, Chinese pole - Juggling
Scarves, bean bags, balls, rings, clubs, knives, fire. - Manipulation
Spinning plates, diabolos, devilsticks, hats, cigar boxes, shaker cups, club / fire swinging, pole / staff, poi. - Theatre
Improvisation, devising, storytelling, masks, text, puppetry, clowning, commedia del arte, stage fighting etc. - Dance

Duration and Costs of Private Classes in our Training StudioThese are the general rates for classes in our training space (but please always check with us first).
- Single Student or Solo Act:
£20 per 1/2 hour (£15 concs) - Semi Private or Duo Act:
£22.50 per 1/2 hour (£17.50 concs) - Small Group / Family Session or Act (6 persons max):
£25 per 1/2 hour (£20 concs)

Duration and Costs of Private Classes at your Venue - UK or Abroad
Most of our tutors have an hourly rate, a half-day rate & day rate, and these do differ.
It is best simply to just ask us for a quote.
- If there is travel involved, there may be a minimum rate + travel expenses will need to be paid on top.
- If there is rigging or large equipment involved, there may be additional costs to accommodate this.
- If accommodation is deemed necessary, you will need to allow for this too.
- Any days spent travelling normally get charged at the individuals half-day rate.
Courses
We can design you complete courses, or input into existing ones.
Projects
Longer workshops often involve working towards a specific goal, and may for instance culminate in a performance or display. If you are looking to create a professional performance piece we suggest you also check out the Artist Training section of our website.
Special needs
We have experience of adapting workshops to suit:
- very young children (aged 2 1/2 to 7 years)
- children excluded from school
- both young people and adults with a range of physical & emotional special needs (in partnership with their experienced support workers)
