Part-Time Professional training
Duration: 6 months to 5 years
The main Aims of the training:
- These are the same as for our Full-time Training Program.
Who the training is for:
- Performers who are unable to commit to our full-time training program at present.
- New-comers wishing to be professional performers, who are unable to commit to our full-time training program at present.
- All Students will need to have a high degree of self-motivation, and commitment.
How Part-time training works:
- A training program will be proposed when we have disscussed what you are hoping to achieve, assessed your starting point, and know your time limitations.
- Part-time training is usually made up of a combination of Evening Classes, Private Classes & Free-practice time.
- Part-time training can still be an Intensive experience, it really depends on how many hours a week you are able to commit.
- Whatever your desired outcome we recommend that Acrobatics, which is one of the key base skills, forms an integral part of your program.
- Students are encouraged to broadening their CV's by gaining some basic competences in other relevant skills.
- We encourage part-time students to work on their own specific projects - the school can give you their best support with this via private sessions.
- Timetable permitting you may have some creative space/time to work through ideas.
- We are happy to support students polishing up existing work.
- We can give some mentoring support.
- Support can be given with applications to relevant International Festivals if you are booking Private Sessions with us, and there is enough timescale to plan properly.
- The Circus Maniacs Agency also promotes our graduates to help them gain work.
Specialisms offered :
- Aerial Techniques: Trapeze, Tissu, Corde Lisse, Web, Ring, Straps.
- Acrobatic Techniques: Tumbling, Trampoline, Trampette, Hand-balancing.
- Chinese Acrobatics: Chinese Pole, Hoop Diving, Lion Dance, Manipulation.
All with choreographic & production support.
Circus Maniacs also offer other skills such as Tight-wire, Juggling & Manipulation etc.. and there is the possibility of bringing in additional specialist tutors according to student requirements.
Duration of Training (it's flexible!):
This is going to depend upon what you are hoping to achieve, the point where you are at right now, how many hours you can put in, what type of training we agree for you, plus of course your degree of sheer determination.
Obviously the more times a week you can train the faster you will progress.
If you can afford some additional Private Classes then it is likely these will move things on quicker for you.
Weekly commitment:
Because this is an intensive program you will still need to make a reasonable commitment of hours per week on this course.
Obviously the more hours a week you can train the faster you will progress.
The current part-time training options we offer are:
- 4 x full days per week
- 3 x full days per week
- 4 x half days per week (either all mornings or all afternoons, depending on skills preferences).
For those unable to make this level commitment at this stage, and have specific skills they wish to progress, 'Private Classes' could be a viable alternative option.
