Outreach Workshops & Courses
Bringing the excitement & challenge of Circus & Performing Arts into the community!
A Circus Maniacs Workshop at your Venue?
From Juggling to Trapeze, Circus Maniacs regularly provides workshops for Libraries, Schools, Youth & Community Groups, Festivals & Corporate Events all over the country & abroad.
If you wish us to come to a venue of your choice, please note that for most circus skills a large space & with some decent height.
In addition if the venue needs to accommodate Trapeze & Aerial Skills it must have 6m+ height & suitable roof structure to accommodate fixing points.
If you wish us to hold the event outdoors, and wish us to include Trapeze & Aerial Skills, we could put up an Outdoor Trapeze rig, but any outdoor event will need a 'wet weather plan'.
The pro's of Circus Maniacs coming to your venue is that you do not have the logistics of a group visit to arrange. If we are some distance from you and overnight accommodation is needed, there are obviously less tutors for this to be arranged for than participants. Also if you have a favoured Venue or are linking our workshop to another event then you obviously need us to come to you.
The con's of Circus Maniacs visiting your chosen venue is that we may not be able to offer the full-range of activities that we can offer at our HQ. e.g. If you wish us to provide skills like Trapeze & Aerial there might be extra costs to cover site checks and rigging.
A Visit to Circus Maniacs HQ?
Alternatively, you may wish to come to us! We have all sorts of Circus Equipment available, including:
- A range of Ropes, Trapezes & other Aerial equipment
- Tight-wires
- A fab Tumble track for Acrobatics & lots of matting
- An especially set up conditioning area
- The benefits and flexibility of having all the equipment to hand
The pro's of visiting Circus Maniacs HQ is that it's a chance for a real outing — a bit more of an adventure, plus the fact that we have a suitable space already set up to train a wider range of Circus Skills e.g. Trapeze & Aerial Skills are offered without the need for special transportation or extra rigging.
The con's may be that there is less flexibility in the times available to book the workshop. Also we normally can't handle very large groups at our venue, though certain times of year there is sometimes a bit more leeway in the timetable to accommodate.

- adults with a range of physical & emotional special needs (in partnership with their experienced support workers)
- Age Ranges:
We have the experience & equipment for working with all ages i.e. from children 3 years old to adults over retirement age.
We prefer not to make the age range within a particular session too broad. For example, a good split of broad age groups would be:
Some skills however will have a minimum starting age; but the concept of 'maximum age' is not so straightforward, it very much depends on the skill involved and if there are any specific health issues that might mean that it is better that an individual avoids certain activities.- ages 3 - 7 (nursery & infants, this could split down further into 3 - 5's & 5 - 7's)
- ages 7 - 11 (juniors)
- ages 11 - 14 (seniors)
- ages 14 - 18 (seniors)
- adults 9 (all)
Client Feedback
"We just wanted to take the time to say thank you. The circus workshop was the highlight of our stay in England. The children cannot stop talking about all the wonderful things they did, and the fun they had doing them.
The instructors were professional, courteous and knowledgeable, and it is in large part because of them and these wonderful attributes that the workshop was such a success.
Keep up the great work and we hope to see you again next year".
Jimmy Baldwin, International School, Paris"A BIG thank you from all at Woodstock School! The kids loved their day and have been practicing the skills they learned. PLease pass on thanks to all the staff that helped make it such a success".
