how to enrol

The Enrolment Form

If you would like to enrol for one of our courses, please download, print out and fill in the appropriate form (see Enrolment Forms) and post it with the appropriate payment to the Circus Maniacs office address.

  • Please note that you must fill in an enrolment form before you may participate in any of our classes.
  • It is important that Circus Maniacs is informed about any relevant health information, and that we have your full contact details, d.o.b., plus emergency contacts for you, should you for any reason need emergency medical care.
  • Participants under 18 years must also have a parent / guardian sign the enrolment to give their consent. If we do not have this, we may have to refuse you participation.

In the cases where a Circus Maniacs member wishes to bring a friend (who is under 18 years) to attend a Taster Session and an enrolment form is not available, the 'new' young person's parent / guardian must send an acompanying letter/note giving their written consent stating who they are, and giving the participants full name & contact details, d.o.b., plus emergency contacts, with their signature and date.

Annual Membership Fees

Annual Membership is included in the full-time students fees. All other students will need to pay an annual membership fee, with the exception of:

  • Any student enroling in Taster Courses lasting not more than 1 day.
  • Under 16s on short courses, who take a temporary youth membership - £5 for up to 7 days.
  • Adults 16+ on short courses, who take a temporary adults membership - £10 for up to 7 days.

£10 for 'Circus Bugz' 3 - 7 years.

Course Fees & Payment
Students taking Part-time / Evenings / Short Course etc:

If the course starts more than 30 days from now:

You may post us your completed enrolment form with a cheque / postal order made payable to 'Circus Maniacs' for 50% of the full course fee as a deposit (+ appropriate annual membership if due). All deposits are non-refundable.

The deposit guarantees you a place providing that you send us the full balance at least 1 full calendar month before the course start date in order to retain your place.
Alternatively you can send us a post-dated cheque for the balance at the same time as your original deposit cheque, so you don't forget!

Balance payments are non-refundable, unless we receive a cancellation in writing from the student at least 30 days prior to the course start date.

For Short Course students wishing to make electronic deposits to our bank account, please contact our office for EBAN & details.

If the course starts within 30 days:

Please post us your completed enrolment form with a cheque / postal order made payable to 'Circus Maniacs' immediately for the full course fee due to be paid (+ appropriate annual membership if due).
All Course fees paid within 30 days of the course start date are non-refundable.

For Short Course students wishing to make electronic deposits to our bank account, please contact our office for EBAN & details.

Please note, if we are very busy, we do not always send out a receipt, but will do so if you ask us for one.

Refunding of Course Fees:

Our policy regarding refunding of fees is a standard one, as used by many educational course providers including South Gloucestershire Council Community Education Service.
A full refund will be made in the following circumstances:

A. When a course is terminated by the provider at or prior to:

  • The first meeting of a course of one term's duration
  • The second meeting of a course of two terms' duration
  • The third meeting of a course of three terms' duration

B. A proportionate refund will be made when a course / activity is terminated by the provider at any other time.

C. All fees are payable even if you leave. No refund will be payable to learners withdrawing from courses/activities for reasons which are not the responsibility of the provider.

D. In cases of serious ill health Circus Maniacs may agree to defer the start date of the course, or may agree to a partial refund. The decision will be at the discretion of the Adult and Community Learning Manager where evidence is produced that the learner is unable to attend.

Complaints & Suggestions:

We aim to provide courses and workshops of the highest quality and to continuously improve our provision. However if you are not happy with your course for any reason, please discuss the matter with your tutor.
