Circus Maniacs Curriculm and Award Schemes
The Circus Maniacs Awards Scheme is aimed at children aged 7 + and adults.
It has been designed to assist the training & development of a broad spectrum of human-based Circus Skills.
These broadly divide into the following four categories:
- Acrobatics
- Juggling and Manipulation
- Equilbristics
- Trapeze & Aerial Acrobatics
Slightly younger children who have already completed the Circus Bugz Awards Scheme will also be ready to progress on to the Circus Maniacs Awards Scheme.
For regular participants
Our whole scheme is quite detailed, as there are a wide range of skills covered at many different levels.
The Circus Maniacs Awards Scheme is constantly being refined & further developed.
About our Base Level Curriculum & Certificates
Circus Maniacs has produced a curriculum that involves approximately 100 different specific circus skills each with their own Base Level Certificates. It is a celebration in the diversity of Circus itself!!
- We have selected 20 out of these Base Level Certificates that we encourage students in our Beginners Multi-skills Classes & Workshops to work on; that is 5 in each of the 4 categories.
- We expect students to acheive 10 out of the 20 in order to progress on up into an Intermediates Multi-skills Class.
- Multi-Skills Intermediates & Advanced Students have the chance to work on further Base Level Certificates, whilst at the same time specialising in their favourites!

Certificates for Outreach Workshops
The Basic Level of the Circus Maniacs Awards Scheme is offered to all bookers of our Outreach Workshops.
The scheme works very well as it encourages participants to challenge themselves to achieve a range of tasks in a variety of quite different skills.

Certificates are, of course, awarded in accordance with success!
